I'm going to talk to my immigration lawyer tomorrow, and ask them a few questions. I will let you know what they say tomorrow. Hopefully it's not bad news.

Did you get any answer yet?

I thought I would put my status in the forum on my I130. My priority date is October 9, My receipt date is October 13. It was filed through Chicago Lockbox and sent to California. Then I receive notice that is was transferred to Potomac on November 9. Then my latest update that it was received at office on December 2. Those of us that have been transferred to Potomac have to look after each other because the USCIS website sure isn't helping out.

does anyone have nay news I cant get a hold of anyone there ...so frustrating :ranting:

Nothing yet. We have found some commonality among our cases. So maybe this is a normal proceeding, and we should have nothing to worry about. I attempted to contact my lawyer today to ask questions, and they're out of office until Monday. So we will just have to play patient. I'm sure everything will be fine. Let's keep our heads cool.

It sounds exactly the same.. This leads me to believe maybe this is just a normal proceeding, and we have nothing to worry about. But on Monday, I will let you know any information I find out.

I have been reading some and it looks like we are all in the same Potomac Boat. The good news is being processed at Potomac is faster then the four other service centers as they are all backed up to 5 months or more. The bad news is you have to call USCIS for processing updates as their is no place on their website to check for updates to Potomac. Looking at previous posts, it appears that Potomac is almost to the month of August receipt date. They have advanced a month in a week and a half's time. I just keep checking on others updates and just try to be patient. I was going to get an attorney, but all they want is my money and their is nothing more that they can do then I can do myself. I will probably be changing my K3 visa status for my wife to a CR1 as it appears the I129F is running slow.

I appreciate. Yes it looks normal process. I'm only worried because I'm completely my five months next week. So will I get approved in 5 months? Can't say anything

I got the same answers. I hope they will approve us next week as I'm completely my five months next week.

If you're approved next week, that would be great my friend. I hope it happens. From my understanding, It can take even longer than 5 months. For a lot of people that's the case. Some 6 to 9 months. Others up to a year. They usually tell people 5 months as an average. This is a tedious process.. But it will be all worth it in the end.

Thank you for the information. I contacted USCIS, and the agent told me that unless you receive a letter in the mail letting you know your case has transferred to your local office. It's likely still being processed in Potomac. He said the website codes are a little weird. Not sure how accurate that is, but I hope it helps.

Again! All of our petitions are still in Potomac! The website just reads local office but it means it was just processed in their system December 2! Also i applied for expidite on Nov 18 and recieved an email yesterday from the Potomac office that it was approved. Patience people Potomac is working faster than we think. Days can drag during this process but patience will help!

We can only pray. Most of July potomac transfers got approved. Idk why my case didn't get approved. I'm already stressed out. I had two friends with same priority date almost same case both got approved. That's why I'm getting more tensed.

I also was one of the December 2 notice to local office, with a notice date of October 13 and a transfer to Potomac from California on November 9. I agree, I think Potomac is working faster then we think. Just be patient out there and keep each other posted on updates.

OK, now that really has me worried. My case was transfered on Oct 15th and as of yet I haven't even received an acknowledgement of receipt that it's there. my USCIS case on the site still says it was transfered. :ranting::crying:
