Would anyone happen to know how long the nvc process takes? Like during this process we had to wait 5 months for the nvc, is there any waiting

involved or does it go by as effeciant as we send them things? I'd love to get things done by 2 months..is that possible?

From what I read on this forum, the NVC stage alone takes a minimum of 6 months from case received till case completed. Then they have to schedule your interview. I really hope that it doesn't take that long!!! But this what I saw on this forum :(

no def not ik that after the noa2 it will take up to 30 days for them to get the papers and then papers will come for you to signa nd etc

From what I read on this forum, the NVC stage alone takes a minimum of 6 months from case received till case completed. Then they have to schedule your interview. I really hope that it doesn't take that long!!! But this what I saw on this forum :(

From what I've seen, that's absolutely incorrect. IF Potomac sends your stuff to NVC in a timely manner like they should.. you should expect at most about a month until you can start submitting your papers to them. Provided that you have all your stuff ready to send them, and pay the fees, expect maybe another month for them to process you. So maybe two months. Then it depends on the country for your interview.. some countries take longer to schedule.. and I'm not sure where to find this information.. maybe someone else here knows?

I'm not sure where you saw that 6 months.. but if it's true it had to be an exceptional case.. and maybe they were including the interview also?

Paper work received today by mail from Potomac Service Center that they received my packet. It was sent directly to them from Chicago lockbox. I sent it to them around March 9th.... I have looked for a March 2016 I -130 filers forum I have not seen one anybody else here start this month?

If anybody got a status update a couple of days ago something like, "Case was received on local office", it means that an officer got into hands you case and you'll get approved in a couple of days :D

If that is true, I will get my approval as well since i received that update on 3/12/16 on the USCIS.gov website.

I can't see at your timeline your PD but if you had once before that "Case was received at local office" after any transfer, I think you'll be next to approve. If it's first time you get this message than you should wait :)

for those wondering about NVC...

I received my PHYSICAL copy in the mail from NVC with my case number and cover sheets two days ago.... already submitted a few things online and paid some fee's. Today im getting all the other papers together like my tax returns etx (already have them just need to print it all out)

I was waiting for 30 days to go by so i could call in and get a case number but NVC/POTOMAC beat me to it! haha, so things are going very fast in my opinion. Im very please with it so far after waiting 7 months for NOA2

NOA1- August 7th 2015 ^_^

TSC to PSC- November 10th 2015 :huh:

LOCAL OFFICE- December 2nd 2015 :o

NOA2- February 25th 2016 :D

NVC Stage:

Physical letter received at home address March 17th 2016 (away on business trip)

DS-261 Completed- March 18th 2016

AOS Fee Paid- March 18th 2016

IV Fee Paid- March 26th 2016

IV Application Completed- March 30th 2016

IV and AOS packages sent- May 19th

Interview appointment date received via e-mail- June 2nd (10 business days? how is that even possible?!)

Interview set for June 20th (super short notice!)

VISA DENIED at interview but followed up over email :cry:

VISA ARRIVED 6/30/2016 with no notice of approval over email :pop:
