yeah transcripts work. I didn't have my taxes so I ordered the on the IRS website.

All you need is your savings. Nothing more and if you have none that's okay also.

If you meet the poverty guideline for you both then all is good. but when you don't then you want to show you have assets but they do ask if you have any

My dad is being the sponsor so hes helping me

Yes!!! I HOPE EVERYTHING IS DONE BY AUGUST! Im wondering if i should call them myself..i havent called before but i would actually like to know the status of my case. Im afraid they're gonna lie to me lol and that'll really upset me right now seeing how my case was updated march 13

I wonder when they usually update their website status....you can try if you've never done it. You may get great news.

Is any problem if the sponsor at NVC is for example, my father in law? Or it should be my spouse? Thanks :)

It can be anyone in the household as stated below. So your spouse is primarybut if he/she doesn't make enough money then you'll want to get a secondary household member to help sponsor too.

"You may count the income and assets of members of your household who are related to you by birth, marriage, or adoption. To use their income you must have listed them as dependents on your most recent federal tax return or they must have lived with you for the last 6 months. They must also complete a Form I-864A, Contract between Sponsor and Household Member. If the relative you are sponsoring meets these criteria you may include the value of their income and assets, but the immigrant does not need to complete Form I-864A unless he or she has accompanying family members.

  • You may count the assets of the relatives you are sponsoring.

I was in college and I havent worked at all.

That's okay. My sister when she got married she was not working. I sponsored her and my brother b/c we all lived together. When her husband got here. He worked and owns a gas station now and so forth and I've never needed to help in any shape or way financially.
