It will go to the national visa center and they'll send you the package and it'll have your "new" case number and some other things you'll sign and afterwards they'll ask for sponsorship paperwork and anything else like evidence...so your best bet for now is get your taxes for the past 3 years together and ready. You can actually even start filling it out and saving it on your pc. they have the forms on INS

So usually how long does it take for them to receive my case and send me the package?

sometimes within 2 weeks. I know what steps on next b/c I've filed for my sister in law and brother in law and did all their paperwork...but their case went really quickly and they were in the USA less than 9 months from start to finish. But now with the whole refugee crisis and other stuff am not sure how long it takes but I bet you'll get stuff before a month passes. Also, what's good with National visa center is that you can talk them by email and talk directly to supervisor and the staff actually is helpful. But yeah communication, from my experience, is amazing with them. oh yeah....also have around 600$ available on hand in your account...bc you'll be told to pay for certain things...I am not sure if fees have changed within the past 5 years a lot.

^that's the poverty guideline...so you can get an additional person in your household to help sponsor if your income is not a lot.

^the form has changed since 5 years ago.

also they'll want new Biographic Information .....if it has not changed then you'll be asked by national visa to send that in and then when you pay for visa fee...they ask for passport picture of spouse also...but like I said not sure if a lot has changed since 5 years ago...that's when I brought my sister in law and bro in law and stepmom to the US.

if you have assets...like savings...then send the bank notice of how much is in your account

if you have a house then...send in your title...or the paperwork when you bought the house

and you'll send in your 2015, 2014, 2013 and if you have 2012 taxes then send all they ask for...

if they want more evidence they'll ask for birth certificate of spouse and criminal record and if spouse has assets then documentation of those assets in English if they're not and the original language....but each case is different so they may not ask you for criminal record and or birth certificate of spouse

Dude what's your problem? if we decide to call that's our problem. No one has told you to call or to listen to anyone on here. So if you don't like the information ignore it or leave the forum. It's that simple. We will handle things our way and what we think is the right thing. So yes, We've had "miracles" and you don't have to call them and make sure you don't call them however I will call when I feel the need to regardless. I've never heard from a single source that calling hurts your chances and or your case.

yeah transcripts work. I didn't have my taxes so I ordered the on the IRS website.

All you need is your savings. Nothing more and if you have none that's okay also.

If you meet the poverty guideline for you both then all is good. but when you don't then you want to show you have assets but they do ask if you have any
