My case was approved and they did not ask me for any RFE. With my petition, I submitted the following documents:

Copy of my US Citizenship certificate

Copy of my marriage certificate (translated)

Copy of my marriage certificate (original in native language)

Hope this helps.

Thank you . I will call them tomorrow and get to the bottom of this. If I don't get a response, I will respond to the mail and ask them for clarification and attach a a copy of our marriage certificate in native language.

Two more weeks and I hit 7 months of processing the I-130....so for all of you upset about just hitting 5 months, be prepared! The paperwork will come eventually...This whole process helps you develop and enforce the virtue of patience, albeit unfavourably by being away from your loved ones!

I see Mecha23, S82015, and Peter12522 are still in this long waiting game too - best of luck folks.

Finally able to check case status online with YSC receipt number. Our PD is 2/12/2016 and directly goes to Potomac. Nervous to see some of the cases take more than 5 months! We both have good education/tax record with US government over the past 10 years. Hope it shortens the process to some extent. Fingers crossed.

All people whose marriage certificate is in a foreign language must send BOTH a copy of the translation AND a copy of the marriage certificate in its original language (can be just a photocopy unless they later specifically ask for an original or certified copy). Looks like you need to mail them a photocopy of your marriage certificate.

Nov 2015 - Vacation together in Spain (7th in-person visit with each other)

19 Apr 2016 - NOA2

17 May 2016 - NVC Case Number Assigned

31 May 2016 - Sent AOS/IV package to NVC

5 Jul 2016 - NVC Case Complete

10 Aug 2016 - Medical Exam

25 Aug 2016 - Interview - APPROVED

1 Sep 2016 - Husband picked up his visa

I am at 5 months now and still waiting. I think Ill be waiting another month or even more...since no one knows how Potomac is doing things.

How would i know if nvc received my case?

When NVC received your case they send you a welcome letter. In my case was two weeks after. Uscis approved my case.

same here.....oh poor you and I ...I want to laugh and cry out of frustration. Tomorrow, I am going to the immigration office so I shall see what pathetic excuse they give me and I bet they'll say it's pending still.
