Hello Everyone,

We have been married for last 7 months, we have applied for i-130 ( my wife is us citizen ). We have hired attorney too.

its been more than 6 months we have submitted our CASE to Uscis. There is no update on our case just wondering, how long will it take and what will be the next step.

I understand that Nebraska is backlogged at the moment, so hopefully you should hear something next month.

Please update your timeline, it helps so you can actually see others in the same situation as you..

Best of luck!

Mine took longer than 6 months. Called and they told me to wait. It was 7

that's good. so its mean we might get something from the Ucis in couple of months. Once u get decision ( or whatever they give) how long the next step

would take?

yes!!!! u r right. everyone has a different scenario, but what i came to know by all the discussion over here that it takes nearly a year. In some cases where the case referred to AP ( administrative process) it could take years.

Are you serious , i mean yes husban/ wife are priority. we should have given PRIORITY. so how long did the UCIS take for the 1st step ( which i guess suppose to be taking only 5 months) , bcz i m trying to b optimistic and thinking that they are only counting working days. so i should wait little more.

I´m sorry to take time to answer you 3hsan...

Well, unfortunatelly I think is based at the Office where your case was submitted and the Country too, since we have to schedule the interview and in Brazil they are taking an average of 2 months to schedule them.

I know about my Country (Brazil) and Is taking so long... I´m waiting it´s been just 3 months but I´m preparing myself to wait until 7 months at least or more.

I got an attorney, so I will not wait the time simply goes by, I´ll ask him to look for it when it will be the time.

I´m sorry for being like this with you, but I´m so frustrated...

I really really really hope that you are almost there! :)

A lot of luck for all of us!!!

I´LL START TO LIVE BACK AGAIN WHEN I´LL BE ON MY HUBBY´S ARMS, FOREVER AND EVER. UNTIL THERE, I DON´T LIVE. I SURVIVE. (L)
