I saw Johnny Carson at LAX once and man was he short!

It never fails to amaze me how short some famous men really are - I know Arnie says he is 6'1" in his IMDB profile but the man is about 5'6" tops

Someone get some questions going on this pub quiz!

I'm useless at celeb spotting. I live in new york so you'd think i'd see loads but i just don'e pay attention. Once in England i was standing next to liam gallagher at a urinal in a london pub and didn't realise until my mate told me afterwards.

That would be me too! One time I sat in a restaurant with Vanilla Ice and another time with Eddy Veder (sp?) from Pearl Jam. I was totally oblivious!

The London Road?

Depends where in Kent, doesn't it? One of the main ones is the A2. That's the other great thing about a pub quiz - the drunken disagreements. ;)

Our local has a pub quiz but it doesn't feel the same with US general knowledge.

Met the ole man in January 1998

Jan. 2004: K1 visa issued ~ April 2004: Got on a plane ~ Nov. 2004: GC in my mucky hands ~ Dec. 2006: Received 10 YR GC

oh I knew someone would be pedantic!

I used to kill with my US knowledge in British pub quizzes - I once won based on knowledge that a Hoosier is a person from Indiana.

I was less good with questions about cricket and 70s British TV shows, however

This guy on Dave's 'team'...omG he's so hilarious...he's like some aging queen (but he never came out of the closet) who wears this atrocious bowl cut wig. He fusses a lot and clucks more than a chicken. Always has to be right, always thinks he knows everything....If you all really knew this guy, you'd appreciate what I was about to say.

One week when me & D didn't go to the quiz, he got busted calling me from the toilets to ask which President was on the $5 bill. oh man did I enjoy that one!

I wish I would have been able to go to the pup quiz when I was visiting London... I thought it would be like those quiz games in bennigans or in the sports bars you find here.

As for celebrities, I have not seen many, but I have seen a few. I work at one of the nicer Disney resorts so you would think that I would see them more often... but I don't. I have seen Ty Pennington in the Atlanta airport... Jerry Bruckheimer at the ShoEast convention showing of National Treasure (I was invited by my client b/c I was working with their reservations)... I saw Bob Sagat at Beaches and Cream at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort back in the 90's when Full House came to film at Disney... I also saw the Olsen twins backstage in the Magic Kingdom when they were there filming... I saw Babyface at Underground Atlanta back in the late 80's (I had no idea who he was then and asked someone what the big deal was.. was told it was Babyface and the next night he was on Arsenio Hall). I have seen AJ from the Backstreet Boys at a club here in Orlando. I met Joey from NSync when I went to his Christmas party a couple of years ago. Back in the early 90's, I walked right past Sam Elliott and Chris Issac as they were going to a record industry party at Pleasure Island. Oh... and I have seen a few celebrities when I was in the cast choir for the Candlelight Processional at Epcot... my favorites were Gary Sinese and Jon Secada - they are both so very nice! Angela Bassett was going for the Oscar when I did one of her performances. I wanted to laugh when everytime she would speak, she would spray spit all over the Voices of Liberty who were singing in front of her. And back in the mid 90's the Disney Institute had a mini Andy Garcia film festival. I went to about 3 nights of Andy Garcia movies (I LOVED him at the time!) and he would have a Q&A after each movie. He was so nice and very down to earth. And every year, I see ABC soap stars in the lobby when they are at Disney for the Super Star Soap Weekend - but don't know who any of them are b/c I don't watch any of the ABC soaps. Anyway, those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
