If a U.S. citizen were to marry a DACA visa holder, would it be possible for the DACA spouse to get an Advance Parole for backpacking overseas as part of the honeymoon? It seems that DACA advanced parole is limited to humanitarian, educational, or employment purposes. If it is possible, how long is the process for advance parole? If not, is there another way to celebrate a honeymoon overseas?

For DACA AP they need a humanitarian purpose. For example, DACA people have been stuck in the US for a long time so they might have some aging relatives they haven't met in a long time who are in poor health, etc, that would be a reasonable humanitarian reason. You can do a honeymoon on the trip but the primary reason has to be a humanitarian reason.

This DACA person entered illegally, right? Because if they entered legally, they should just stay in the US and do Adjustment of Status directly. Only if they entered illegally should they try to go the AP route to get a legal entry to enable them to do Adjustment of Status.
