hey.. the embassy told you 2 weeks for AR right? if i were you make SURE hubby has visa in hand before you make any plans!!! we were told 45 days on the 221g paper it is now 8 months later no visa in hand.

mary was told the same thing. its now over 93 days. I think although we are with ISL pakistan embassy there will be no disagreement when we all can say " we heard that before" - so advise again wait til visa in hand. it could be issued sooner or later. with all the security checks no telling how long anything can take.

I hope you take the time to read the ADMIN review Link I gave you.

Shonjaved,

I totally agree with you...I am just patiently sitting and praying that it would get resolved soon but I am painfully aware that it could take time...I will do my reading tomorrow and additionally will try to get a congressman involved to push things around if they would delay the process...I have seen that a lot of good people on this forum are still waiting to get these issues clarified...so I guess I must join the group...thanks for your help and insight...

Dorothy

uhmm congressman or sentator cant really do anything except

write letters of good will and inquire about the case. they cant push the security checks along. when your case gets to DOS department of state this is good then the congressman can simple call and find out more details about your case.

I know your frustrated as he11. In my frustration I wrote the Vice President. I dont know if it helped or not .but my case is moving along nicely..lol

Find something that will pass the time fast. learn a new hobby or something.

Don't worry, that is what they gave my husband and he got his visa. The 221G that says for administrative processing and they will be contacting means they are doing his security check. That takes a week or so, depending on how fast they are in Washington DC and then they will call him to bring in his visa, and it seems to be taking them 3 days to a week after you drop off the passport to get the visa done for you anc they will call your fiancee back to pick up the visa. Don't worry so much, I know how you feel, my husband and I were feeling the same panic but my Senator varified it was the Security check and before we knew it they called to tell him to bring in his passport. The bad thing is they do not explain all this for you which makes us worry to much.

Put a big smile on because this is good.

Paula

:unsure:X "Section 221g which prohibits the issuance of visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of the immigration and nationality act or regulations issued pursuant to the following remarks apply in your case: Your application requires administrative processing. We will contact you when this processing is complete."

this seems to be the gist of what was on the page given to Jamal on the interview today...I hope that it still gives us the hope of reunification in the near future in NY...otherwise I got to be planning my move to Morocco even though I have no idea how I could do that financially but as they say nothing is impossible...I just want my man with me and will not let the government mess this up for me...lol...Thank you all for your support.

Thanks Paula, I must say that I feel much better after I put mu questions here and got such enormous amount of help from this group of great ladies...I am just so mentally exhausted by this process and financially strained that I want to get it over with...but I know that we are almost there...I just get so frustrated with waiting and my tendency is to worry way too much...Thanks again for your response...I will count my days...
