You need a request from consulate that it is required from you and evidence you were in singapore work permit or passport stamps letter from employer

You will need to fill out the appeal letter and the letter from the Embassy specifically asking for the PCC from all countries you resided.

If submitting and collecting in-person, their process is about 1 week long nowadays.

Good luck

I spoke to someone at the Singapore Police Force today and they stated that we are not required to wait for a letter from the Consulate. The NOA2 is acceptable evidence of a need for the CoC and they will process the appeal based on that.

Just found this thread and my fiance is going through the same process right now with all her police certificates. This update from JL818 is fairly recent but I just wanted to see if anyone can confirm that the NOA2 is enough evidence to go ahead and begin the process of applying for the certificate from the Signapore Police. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Just got my singapore police clearance certif. Applied from overseas and it wasn't fast. Was disappointed, they only performed check for the dates I was living there officially. But US Embassy wants that they perform background check for the entire time. Their email support is horrible, they simply don't answer emails.

WiIl this be an issue guys that they checked background only within certain timeframe?

I applied for Singapore clearance like 2 weeks ago...as their website mentioned, I need to write an appeal (online). Part of it was to enter my foreign identification number (FIN...an ID issued from Singapore government when I worked there for more than 6 months, I need to attach the front and back copy of that ID, my NOA2 copy as well as the copy of packet 3.. I got there reply after a week saying my application has been approved and provided me a link to continue the application and payment using a credit card.i got an acknowledgement slip and instructed me to get my fingerprints from any legal institutions here in the Philippines (police office etc...) And mail them the hard copy including my acknowledgement receipt)... I'll mail the needed documents by Monday and hoping for the best result.. anyway they will mail the police clearance in the applicants registered address.

Hello! I know this is an old post but I hope someone can give me information.

I am currently residing in Singapore, holding an EP. How do I go about getting the police clearance? Should I already have a NOA2 on hand before applying for one? Is it mailed directly to the consulate?

TY :)

Maybe you can try contacting the Ministry of Manpower to get your FIN number. Did you work here in Singapore?

Hi Everybody,

I hope this helps those who are needing to get COC from Singapore. Specifically for NON-SINGAPORE CITIZENS who are NO LONGER STAYING IN SINGAPORE.

The fastest way to get it is to go there yourself after submitting an appeal to apply for COC which took 5 business days to get approved and then applying for the COC itself after that which took 2 business days. After payment, you will receive an email saying that you can now schedule your fingerprinting sessions, make sure that you'll select 'pick up'. Then you can go ahead and buy a ticket to SG, go for your fingerprinting and you'll get it just a few minutes after! That's it! The only challenge that I had is the scheduling of the fingerprinting session cuz the earliest available date at that time is July 27 and I got my payment confirmation from the Singapore Police Force on the 1st week of July.

I needed it for my K1 visa (just got approved yesterday :)).

Police clearance certificate is required from every visa applicant aged 16 years or over for each country of residence where the applicant has resided for at least six months since attaining the age of sixteen.

Police certificates are also required from all other countries where the applicant has resided for at least one year.

Hi there. Just wanted to know if you really got your Certificate the same day as your fingerprinting? Your advice about going there in person is probably the quickest way. Im just waiting now for the fingerprinting schedule.

How to apply coc in singapore online?

I have my fin number and trying to regester in singpass but i cant regester i dont know why. Any body can help me. Thank you!

Use this link to see what is required to get the Police Clearance for any country that you have lived in since the age of 16 more than 6 months.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html

Once you arrive on the landing page look to the left column and chose the first letter in the country's name that you are searching for. Once you land on the page for that country then scroll about 3/4's of the way down till you see "Police, Court, Prison Records".  Select it. Then locate "Police Certificates" which should be the first entry. Then check the availability of getting a PC from that country. If it states "Available: Only if applicant is physically present in the "the country's name". If that is the case then screen shoot the page and print and bring to your interview in the event that you need to prove to the CO that a PC from that country is not available for you to get unless you are physically in the country. That should prevent any problems at the interview.
