Strange email with US Visa website

Are you sure its actually 'coming' from the addresses you say? Albeit the url sounds legit getting before NOA2 doesn't really make sense. Seems like a phishing/spoofing scam.

Check the email headers

Yes, I am sure the urls, email addresses, etc. are as stated. I work in cyber security at a very security-focused company.

I am a Nigerian and I'm really not sure about the legitimacy of this site but looking at the site, it doesn't look legit. And remember most things that have to do with the USA federal government like any immigration case be it a website or email should end in .gov not .com. If you're asked to go through a link, then you need to weary of that email.

Also this webpage has no links at all. Not even a contact us or a help page. I think it is a scam. Do not even try to sign up to a website like that

I thought that we had already established this as a legit site? There is a ton of information out there on the site, and none point to it as being a fake site or scam.. and ALL have established it as legit. For those of you saying that the site is illegitimate, please, before spreading false information, do some research guys... I guarantee that if you do that you would arrive at a different conclusion.

Again, I work in cyber security.

I would call the 1-800 number to ask if it is legit.

Although consulates do things differently, I received a letter with the website address....

I wouldn't take the chance.. They are probably going to ask you for personal information, even though they won't ask you to pay.

Hi everyone,

I submitted my K1 Visa petition on September 30th and received my NOA1 on October 5th. I have been checking the USCIS status page daily to see if it updates with NOA2, but thus far have not seen any updates beyond the NOA1. However, tonight I received a strange email telling me to setup an account at the following site:

https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/

The heading of the site only states "Apply for a US VISA in Philippines"

I have not yet received any other instructions regarding this site, however, based on a google search, it seems that this is the site that we use to schedule interviews at the US embassy in Manila.

Has anyone else experienced this and can I basically take this to indicate that my petition was approved by CSC and the NOA2 is on the way given that they are already setting up my account for the interview?

Thanks!

The website is real. But receiving an email regarding this is not.

Is your petition still at USCIS? Toss that email and ignore that link.

To everyone who responded that the link was a scam or or fake, I just received confirmation from USCIS that it is indeed valid and that they had sent it slightly prematurely. I just got confirmation yesterday that my I-129F had been approved and is on the way to NVA/ the Manila Consulate.

So going forward, if anyone is applying for a Filipina, a link from https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ could be a good indication that your application is about to be approved, though you may or may not see it come in early. Bottom line is that it IS a legit link unlike what everyone on this thread has been trying to convince otherwise.

So recap on my timeline:

- Oct 1: I-129F sent

- Oct 7: NOA1 received

- Oct 26: Receive link to https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/

- Nov 3: NOA2 received
