Hi,

My husband had his Visa interview in Montreal Canada on Friday October 23, 2015. he is half Canadian and half British. His visa was not approved because he needs to get a new medical exam that reflects prior contact with the police while under influence of alcohol. Also, he needs to provide copy of all his citation and police report.

My husband does not have any criminal charges and his police certificate was clean, but during the interview the officer asked him about any formal interaction he had with the police regarding alcohol. Then he answered that he had a drinking in public citation and a speeding ticket and couple of parking tickets. Then officer said that he needs a new medical exam. Additionally, the officer said to mail everything and there is no need to come back for another interview. Does anyone know what is the processing time? Does the embassy also contact the petitioner to update them on the status the same way NVC did.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

He needs a disposition from that incident he told them about to go forward

even if nothing came of that they need it in writing & medical record, send

whatever they want to the instructed place given to him (send thru tracking

mail ) I guess they will contact him when they need PP ...I'd add a cover letter

Thank you for your reply. Do you think beside the police report that will show the citation he needs to get a written statement from the police about the ticket? Or police report reflecting the citation will be enough? Also, have you heard of not requiring another interview and just sending additional paperwork via mail and waiting for a reply?
