So recently I applied to a University in USA and got accepted, but now I have a great contradiction which I do not know how to get past by, When I applied to my university in USA I only showed them academic documents which provide Information until my FOUNDATION COURSE I attended at a university in Malaysia which ended in 2014. But originally I have documents up till First year of Engineering Bachelors degree which I did not submit due to my termination from the program in 2015 and I was afraid to be rejected from the university in USA due to it. Now when applying for the visa I will be applying for the USA visa and its interview I am really concerned about a few facts:

1. Should I provide the same information in the visa application form and I did in the University's application form? (I stated in the application that I have only studied up till foundation which ended in 2014 but my Visas on my passport is extended until 2015!!)

2. Will they interrogate me during the visa interview that why is my VISA for Malaysia extended up till 2015 and why did I arrive to my home country (PAKISTAN) in July 2015 since my course ended in June 2014?????

PLEASE HELP ME I AM REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THE WHOLE SITUATION ITS A MESS BUT IF ANYONE COULD PLEASE ASSIST ME OR SUGGEST ME WHAT MAYBE A GOOD COUNTER IF SUCH QUESTIONS MAY BE ASKED IT WILL BE REALLY GREATFUL!!!!

If they ask honesty is always the best policy. You do not want to lie on your visa interview.

Thanks for your reply but I am just so freaked out about it because they might as well ask me that why did not inform the university as well regarding my poor results from my previous institution I attended and that might just get me rejected don't you think my friend?

They might not even ask about it. Just be honest with them. If you come up with some bs story they will see through it and it could come back and bite your behind if you lie to them. Some people on here have gotten themselves in some really bad situations (visa denials) because they lied.

They might not even ask. But if they do, like I said before: honesty is the best policy. If you lie, it might very well come back and bite your behind. There are plenty of people here who has been denied future visa's etc because they lied on a visa interview.

Looks like he went to Malaysia as a student and overstayed a year.

How will the US know he will not do the same?

Tell the truth. The consequences for intentionally NOT telling the truth will certainly be worse.

But guys should I state in the Visa form that I studied in Malaysia till 2015 even though I have told the uni that I completed in 2014???? and later explain the situation during my interview if it comes up?? or should I inform the university first regarding the issue so I can be safe before applying for the visa?

I would inform the university first. You've lied and created this mess for yourself. Time to start sorting it out.

Good luck

Not if the school asks for all transcripts of all institutions previously attended. Was this asked of you when you applied? It is standard practice.

good luck

Yes it was asked as you have mentioned but I contacted my school and they said that it is not a problem since the US embassy will only get the letters given by me to them, so stating the truth wont hurt my chances as long as I am accepted at the institution
