Documents for the Interview

Guys I have a quick questions.

I'm now getting ready for the Interview and I already have all the Documents what we need.

On the Check List of the Documents we need to bring, it says:

- Your petitioner's Birth Certificate and your petitioner's evidence of United States Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident Status.

My husband is US Citizen, born in the Dominican Republic and his Birth Certificate is in Spanish. Do I still need to have his Birth Certificate translated to english? or is it enough if we have his Neutralization Document and US Passport with us?

Think of it this way: would you prefer

a) to go to the minor trouble of getting the birth certificate translated and taking both the birth certificate and the translation to your interview, or

b) to find yourself in front of an IO who's asking to see a translation of the birth certificate, and admitting that you're unable to provide it?

Failure to present the translation when asked for it wouldn't get you denied, but it would be very likely to delay your approval until after you'd submitted the missing document.

Maybe the IO won't ask to see the birth certificate, but why take that risk when getting a translation is relatively straightforward?
