Hello,

Our interview is coming up almost a year after we applied for AOS from a K1 visa. We have used a joint sponsor (my dad) and I want to verify what we need to bring - I was told that we need all of the info we submitted with the AOS (his affidavit of support, pay stubs, IRS info, W-2's, etc.) along with some recent pay stubs? Does that mean that we don't have to get a new affidavit of support or any other updated info from the joint sponsor ASIDE FROM new pay stubs? Since it's not been long enough, there are no new W-2s or IRS tax returns to provide.

Thank you, I just want to make sure we don't fall short with any of the information we need!

It sure cannot hurt to bring the kitchen sink, but they already have all that stuff! The lady who interviewed Joan and I had a huge folder with everything thing we submitted from the I-129F forward. She spent the first 5 minutes verifying our information (by going through her huge folder and asking simple questions); the next five minutes asking about our wedding and simple post marriage questions (who proposed, where was the wedding, did we meet our families, etc.) and asking if we had any additional papers to file (I forgot what we gave her--maybe life insurance/annuity stuff--but she commented that what we gave her would be good for the ROC step in two years); and the last 5 to 10 minutes talking to Joan about where to buy/how to make good Filipino food! Bring whatever documents that you have accumulated since you last filed and relax. It is not bad. They just want to see that you are a real couple.

Mahalo/Salamat!
