CR-1 tips and advice before starting

My fiance (the US citizen) and I are getting married in my home country Malaysia this December and was thinking of doing the CR-1 process.

I have read through all the process of what we need to do for preparation before filing the I-130, but any other tips or advice????

i would suggest you do the I-130 and get married in the home country its a better process at the end money wise if you think about it.

If I was you I would and at the end trust me its cheaper to go cr1 visa then k1 visa and also you are married which is a great proof of marriage and plus its different then k1 ...

Keep a log of all communication you have with US immigrations right from the start. If you run into problems along the way, you'll have a log of every time you've spoken to US immigrations, the reason and the outcome. It might come in handy.

Also keep copies of everything you submit, including saved copies of all forms. There'll be times along the process when you'll all of the sudden wonder if you wrote the correct information or if you missed something, then it's nice to be able to go back to a copy of the form you've already sent and double check.
