DS-230 Intended Occupation in the US

Hi all,

Well I finally got the I-864+I-864A+supporting documents shipped out to the NVC on Friday, guaranteed to arrive by 12pm on Monday (thanks to TNT!). Now I'm turning my attention to the DS-230 and hope to send that out on Monday, so the NVC will have all our stuff this week. Reading through the form, I'm happy with all the questions (as they're v similar to the previous G-325A's etc I've filled out), apart from the "In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States?", in box 22.

Although I'm working as a Project Engineer at the moment, I'm planning on either enlisting in the military or become a police officer once I move to the US - and am unsure of which branch of the military or police department I'd be working for (although it will probably be either the Coast Guard, Army, Marines or Colorado Springs Police). I've had a few chats with recruiters, so if quizzed about it at the Embassy interview I can show that I've done some research into it. Would it be okay to just put down "Enlistment in the Military or Police Officer", or is there something more specific I could/should put? Any advice more than welcome!

What you are thinking of putting would be fine. There is nothing specific that is required. I put 'home duties' :D
