bryan,

A sponsor needs to submit sufficient identification information to show that they qualify to be a sponsor for the non-financial qualifications, and sufficient financial information to enable the consular officer to determine that the visa applicant meets the public charge provisions of the law. The financial information generally involves more than the I-134 and it's supporting materials alone, it will be sponsor-specific (all people's financial situations are not identical), and it can be consulate-specific (they can have their preferences for what they would like to see).

do i-134 co-sponsors need to send in anything else besides the i-134 and supporting docs? no photo id, birth certificate, whatever? just the notarized i-134?

thanks! you people are awesome!

I have this exact same question... I need to know what supporting evidence my co-sponsor needs to have as well... I assume that whatever they marked on the form that they have..like their salary/income, savings, properties owned, etc... they need to show proof that they actually have these things in some way... Anyone can make up something and put it on a form..and my guess is that the embassy could ask for proof of anything put on the form... Does anyone else have an answer to this question???
