Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and I thought it would be the perfect forum to ask my question...

Anyways, I already have all the documents needed to petition my father to join me here in the US.
My question is how do I start?
So far I know I have to start with I-130 petition with supporting documents to prove that he is my biological father..(I got that as far as that)..
Next... when I submit my I-130 petition for my father do I have to show supporting documents too that I am capable of bringing and supporting him here in the States or that will be ask later?

Thank you so much in advance. :)

Hi,

Yep, that will come later. Once your I-130 is approved at USCIS, it will be forwarded to NVC. You will need to submit more supporting docs (passport copies, birth certificates, etc.) and financial documents (I-864, affidavit of support, tax returns, etc.) at the NVC stage.

Here's the guide on NVC: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Hi.I'm trying to file for my mom to come to usa. But still not sure about all documents that I need to send to the.uscis. Would you please tell me what documents have you gather for your parent.

Just follow this guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/immigration-parents

Since it's your mother, all you need is the Form I-130, the fee, and a copy of your birth certificate (showing your and your mother's name).
