We are a little confused about this it asks - persons not sponsored in this affidavit and it is asking "I am currently married enter one for your spouse" and then he should put on for NOT sponsoring himself and the total should be 2 in the bottom, right? It confuses us cause above this question it says to total all number and so we did and the number is one for me then should we also put a one for the "I am currently married"?!?

Don't put 1 for 'Enter 1 for your spouse'. Enter 0.

The form says not to count anyone twice.

They already know you're adjusting and he's petitioning for his spouse. That field is for people who petition for other family members and joint sponsors who need to include spouses in their household size.

You are the immigrant and the person being sponsored in the affidavit, so you are counted in #1.. Anyone below that are persons NOT being sponsored in the affidavit. That is not you, and you never count anyone twice.

The form is not just used by a spouse of the immigrant. For instance, if you were using a joint sponsor, and they were married, then they would count you, the immigrant, in #1, plus count their spouse in #3, who is not someone being sponsored.
