Hi all,

I have a quickie question about the Letter from the sponsors employers.

My Fiancée's mother will be sponsoring me and I have numerous documents from her regarding her income (Tax returns, wage slips etc) however from what I read, London mostly asks for a letter from the employer stating the annual wage. I have one of these however it was typed up on the computer and send via Email from the HR department of her firm. Unfortunately it is not signed and just has an email footer with the company logo and

"HR Data Processing Team Member"

My question is would London accept this as it does not have an employee signature?

I will provide the letter in full below with the headers, footers and personal details omitted. Her mothers salary far exceeds the requirements.

RE: Co-Sponsor

EE # XXXXXXX

To Whom It May Concern:

Please let this letter serve as proof that Co-Sponsor SSN (XXX-XX-XXXX) is an employee with Employer Firm in City, California. Her employment information is listed below:

  • Date of Hire: 11/14/2011
  • Job Title: Position
  • Salary: $XXXXXX.XX annually

If you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the Employee Support Line at Phone Number Here.

Sincerely:

Would this information along with a corresponding tax return and pay slips be enough to satisfy the requirements?

All help is appreciated.

Many thanks in advanced.

Yes, the letter is enough. Not all HR departments provide the same kind of "letter". Some have a statement of employment verification downloaded from the Internet with no formal letter style signature. I don't think they will be fussy about the signature. And you have the tax return as a secondary proof to back up the employer letter if needed.

(I just realized I didn't answer your PM. I have been sick for a whole week now and barely functioning. Can't sleep for coughing so much. Exhausted. Doctor visit and test on Wednesday confirmed it is flu. Should have gotten a flu shot when the season started.)

Thanks Nich-Nick,

Yeah I did PM you about this earlier in the week as I though I could send you the full document for confirmation. Not to worry if you are sick, I appreciate your answer on this thread.
