I'm really not understanding what the USCIS wants. My wife handed over all her medical documentation done at a US hospital, St Lukes, in Manila, two days of exams and tests. At POE 9/14 she handed over her sealed envelope that includes all her medical information, has it disappeared ? She has medical insurance through my work since 10/14. Is a visit to a civil surgeon going to be another 2 day $$$ affair ? We live in the Boston area anyone care to point me to a trustworthy civil surgeon...?

Thanks

Hey Rob,

Filed AOS last Oct????!!! Sounds like your file got lost and is now found, sadly the medical expired this past summer. You know the rule with this visa process... he who has the gold makes the rules. And in this case the gold is the GC.

Find a civil surgeon and get a new medical is my suggestion. Just like when dealing with USEM.. give them what they ask for. ;)

Well a $185 trip to the civil surgeon and 2 passport sized photo's did the trick. A five week turnaround and K-1 PR status approved. Thanks to all on VJ for the support ! Don't have to think about visa's for another 21 months :star:

Cheers and fortitude,

Rob and Sue
