During a spousal visa interview, cultural norms of the country are taken into consideration when considering whether or not a relationship is bona fide or not. If court marriages are the exception and not the norm in Nepal, then a CO may wonder about the bona fides of that particular marriage and may have extra questions about it. If you are asked about a marriage picture, you tell the truth, period, full-stop.

They may ask you about it at interview, and you just tell the truth about why you didn't have a traditional marriage (different religions, no money, whatever). Are both your families aware of and supportive of the marriage? You may well be asked about that.

ours is intercaste marriage and also my husband has very less time as he has to return to USA for his job..so we dnt hve that much time for traditional marrige becoz it takes one or two months for preparation n marrige..so what would be the best reason i shoud give to consular????
