Hi! We have sent in our I-130 and it was approved 42 days ago when we got our NOA2. Now we are waiting on NVC to give us a case number and IIN number. We've been calling atleast once a week to get them... But anyway I just remembered that the I-130 form asked have you ever applied for a visa before and we wrote no. Last year I entered the green card lottery but didn't win and a few years ago I entered some other kind of lottery that I payed for but didn't win. Should I have put a yes on the form? Will this come back and bite me? :/

Did you file a petition for a Visa is what they are asking. The lottery I kmow nothing about the process, did it entail applying for a visa? Good luck in the NVC process make sure your documents are in order.Lots of great info on this site to help you through the process.

Entering in a green card/or other lottery is definitely not applying for a visa unless you got selected and started processing visa application, so don't worry about that.

Thank you for answering so fast :) I'm freaking myself out by over thinking every step because I don't want to screw up :) I think we have almost all the paperwork ready even though we don't have the case number and so on. Right now we're waiting in our sponsor to send us their share of papers :)
