Contacting congressmen/senator/representative in CA

Hi VJ community

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this? My case is outside of processing times* (see my signature) and I filed a service request and never received a response. I was thinking about submitting another one but I'm sure if they responded it would just be the generic response they send to everyone.Not sure if infopass would be more productive so I'm thinking about contacting my congressperson/senator/representative but I really don't know who to contact.

How do I know who to contact? CA has 53 representatives in the Congress (I think?), how can I determine who's the right person to help me with my case?

When I search by zip code, it says it's Brad Sherman. There is a form to fill out to ask them to make an inquiry on your behalf regarding certain matters, immigration included, but I'm not sure if he's 'the one'.

There's a lady representative that I really like but I'm not sure I can contact her as she's probably not in charge of my district (or whatever other criteria they use to determine who represents you). Can I still contact her?

Yep, that's how I found Brad Sherman, I hope he can help with my case. Today is exactly 11 months since I maled my AOS application

They finally sent a response to my service request, I have yet to receive it but I'm 99% sure it's just the generic response telling me to keep waiting. Can I still involve my representative or is that going to make it worse now?
