my Fiance has 2 cases of possession of drugs (dismissed), resisting arrest (1 dismiss, 1 guilty). im wondering what possible questions they will ask me during my interview tomorrow. anyone who has a clue on what they will ask? i hope they wont deny our petition because of this. ? i saw some thread bout this but im really anxious on what they will ask me and if they will think badly of my fiance (petitioner).

Read the domestic violence pamphlet carefully. Since he has no domestic violence offence , you might be okay. If they ask, answer them with confidence so that it will prove you know all of them and you are quite comfortable with yours relation knowing his past.

Not asking you to tell us what drugs but you need to know / these will be asked of you

Did he disclose all the infromation to you as the drug charges? there is a big difference in the type of charges

Has he spent time in a jail or prison?

When were the charges? When he was under 18 and is now clean?

or are they recent?

Don't answer me / these quesitons are what you can expect

the case of marijuana was dismissed. the one with alcohol was the one he was guilty of 'resisting arrest'. he was in jail for 7 days and they took his license. we requested for ALL of his records and everything was disclosed both to me and on the k1 packet when we filed for it. it was 11 yrs ago and he has been sober since then. thanks for the questions

he was not under 18...

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Philippines regional subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

What I know about the process at USE-Manila, I would say that you will get questions. Will they prevent you from getting a visa, I don't think so but it depends on so many factors.

My recommendation is to be honest with your answer, don't bring up any subject unless asked by the CO (it's best to let sleeping dogs lie). You need to know everything about the case and be prepared to sight what you know from the documents.

You have something that happened 11 years ago and that is in your favor. BUT.... you are not out of the woods. Until you go to the interview, there isn't much that anyone can tell you if you will pass the interview or not. So don't look for an answer. The best anyone can tell you is to be Honest and look the CO in the eye and know what you are talking about because believe me the CO has studied your documents and is very sharp so don't underestimate them. Best thing you can do before you start at the window is to take a silent deep breath and relax. You can do this!!

Hello everyone! My interview is on the 24th of this month, i just want to ask anyone if ever the CO ask me if my fiance (petitioner) have any arrests records, should i say yes or no? My fiance has 3 arrests records in the past that we never disclosed when we submitted the petition and we got approved in 23 days without any RFE. We decided to not disclosed them since they were only arrest records and none of them falls in the category of IMBRA. Please, i appreciate every input anyone can give me. Thank you
