I'm glad you feel better coming here. I was convinced today that I fit right in coz I was surrounded by lots of other oblivious, rude and offensive people. There's something here for everyone! ;)

seriously...this must be all about complete boredom. why else would you respond to each and every person's comment towards you? over and over and over. you say you don't want to argue but yet respond to everything! ignore everyone who isn't keeping on your topic and respond to those that do! if thats what you really meant?! <_< sigh

it is growing on me too!

Lisa...Do you drink half pints when you are in England???

Do you even drink beer?

I am curious about these half pints. I always see girls with half pints!

If I am going to drink a glorious english pint I want a whole damn one!

No, I'd never drink a full pint...in fact, I call them 'pint of lager chicks' but ya hafta say it with a deep throaty voice, lol.

Actually, I'm not a lager drinker at all..I'm a G&T girlie. Though I have been known to partake of a turbo shandy (half a pint mixed with a Smirnoff Red) every now and again :innocent:

a shandy!!

Had a few of those too.

That is all my father in law drinks.

I drink a fine pint of guinness or a pint of bitter. OR a vodka tonic.

For some reason I have those half pints on the brain.

I'm a part time student, and other than one class and taking care of my dog and my cat, I do not have much to do. We started getting ready for K1 soon after I returned from Morocco. I know there is a lot of waiting to do, but I did not see that it would take us over a month to get ready to petition, so I have frustration over that wait. I was not ready for that. I can handle waiting for the gov't to do their thing, but this was different. This was my part and I knew what I had to do but I still can't do it yet.

The other person who lives in this house is away for several months and I have not been getting out much. I don't get weepy very often. Sometimes I get a general feeling of malaise. Sometimes I lay in bed and pretend he is right there and I will feel something like content, but then I don't want to move. Just lay there. I've been depressed, and there isn't much to get up for. I don't feel like I can get another job yet because I am going to visit the fiance for two weeks every 2 months or so and I don't think I can find a job that will tolerate that. (as for being able to support the fiance when he comes here until he gets work permit etc, I have enough saved up so I'm not worried about that)

I know I've gotten really lazy since I left him in Morocco. I had a bad cold from flying with sniffles, then my back went out and I actually wasn't capable of doing much for a couple weeks. Now that I am, I think the key is to get out of the house, do something. So I try to see my friends on the weekends. I'll be returning to taekwondo - the trick will be dragging myself out of the house to get there, once I am there I should be fine. Getting back into basic chores I was neglecting. I'll pick up my cross stitch again, when I'm going through something difficult or where I have to wait, it is a great distraction. I was thinking about volunteering somewhere, but the opportunities I found require a commitment of so many weeks or months and I already know I'll be going to Morocco so I can't really start one of those projects.

I'm not weepy, but I guess this still qualifies me as needy. I don't have career goals or much of a purpose. Just walking through life. Living for myself only has worn thin and tired. That is why I look forward so much to having him get here. It is a change and I know there will be new challenges. And I want that. The waiting for K1 is only extending the time where all there is to do is live for myself. I took a little time to live single, like I can watch any movie I like, go wherever I like. Havn't done half of what others have done as a single, but it is old. I've waited long enough to get to this point, it's just more waiting. I have no life. *shrug*

Anyhow, that is my story about how I am dealing with the separation. So far. Maybe I react differently when I finally send out that package and the *real* waiting begins.

Needy is a loaded word. I looked for a better one at thesaurus.com, but no luck. I don't think there is a word that fits that lacks the connotation of 'needy.' It raised an eyebrow with me at first, but I can't seem to feel offended. It can be meant in an insulting way, or just be an adjective. It's all in the perspective. I prefer to think we are all needy here. We need our loved one (here, want and need are virtually the same thing). We express it and handle it in different ways. So greeneyedgirl is also needy. Does that make everyone happy? She just does it differently. I feel depressedly resigned to it all, that is how I feel. I don't like feeling this, but it doesn't feel nice to be overtly sad either.

At least when people feel offended it is a momentary distraction from their visa problems/wait.

BT

If I cause offense it is not on purpose, think about that before you take offense. If you feel offended, consider that maybe I'm not talking about you and maybe I accidentally stumbled onto a sore area and do not know. Thank you.

I always enjoy your posts, BT. They come from the heart.
