I haven't taken the test that G-EG has, but I'm confident that I could place just about anywhere on the spectrum I wanted. (I might have a problem with presenting as a young girl.) I'm sure I'll be seen by GEG as 'jumping on the bandwagon' of all the people who are just out to attack her (or fill in whatever other word there) for no good reason or whathaveyou, but I have to say one thing. I'm very certain that the comments will just roll right off your back, which is great,really! You're absolutely right about one thing anyway...you shouldn't ever give anyone on a message board any right to make you feel one way or another about yourself. That *said* it doesn't always work--I'm very happy for you that you have it mastered, however. Too bad you can't master some other things while you're at it. (a small one, tact, has already been mentioned. It might be a good starting point though.) Just because you don't care what anyone on here says to you or blah blah blah (that must be because you're so incredibly different from most of us) doesn't mean you should just spew out anything you feel like at any time. There are some people on here who could really give a rats behind what anyone says to them....they just let it rolllll right off...and there are others (me included) who do tend to think of it as...."I'm a person, do you really *need* to talk to me like that just because I'm not standing right in front of you???" Maybe sometimes, in fact I know sometimes, I've been OVERdefensive or whatever...but not ALL the time. As others have stated...you seem to enjoy being rude, and then insist upon looking at it as a good quality. Okkkkkkk, then.

As a somewhat intelligent person, I would think you would understand the difference between meaning and connotation. Your first post is what annoyed me...do you not *realize* the connotation of "needy" or were you just really bored and felt like ###### stirring? Just curious. I doubt you'll admit to being either ignorant OR the latter, so whatever....but it's about like comparing, say, jobless and bum. A person can be without a job for any number of reasons...it doesn't mean they're a bum. Why must you be insulting, SO often yet insist that it's just everyone else who is "taking it that way"? Since you are so smart, you should be able to tell the difference.

I dunno...I don't care enough about you to either like or dislike you. (and before you say so, I'm entirely certain the feeling is at LEAST mutual) I just find you mildly annoying and I was bored so felt like replying.

BTW, Craig & I both had a hard time some days, and other days we were cool with it....usually depended upon how busy we were...weekends were harder when we weren't at work. We tried to work it so one of us was encouraging when the other was down...at times we were both upset at once, but not often. It also got a lot more difficult toward the end when it was taking us about 6 or 7 times as long for the NOA as it was taking people in other service centers at the time. We didn't begrudge them their NOAs, but we started to get antsy for it to be our turn. M.

What I forgot to add initially: I was going to tell you to please "work on that" regarding your word usage and their connotations, but I realize that you think it's all in our perceptions, not in what you write. You strike me as a classic case of someone who is *never* wrong...at least in your own mind. *sigh* You're right once again, of course. I must have read into your remarks...my bad. [/sarcasm]

I truly don't see myself as rude, so I derive no enjoyment from it. I do find the piling on about how I'm offensive to a few individuals, many of whom have gone out of their way to be offensive, as well, a bit repetative. To insist that that a person conform to your tastes is unreasonable, at best. I have stated it before, and I do now, I am not responsible for what you see when you read my posts. I'm just not. I learned years ago that there is no way on God's earth to appease each and every person who CHOOSES to post with you or respond to you. And that's where I stand. I can do no better because then all of you would be calling the shots for me.

I am only one person; you can always choose to ignore me if you find my contributions unacceptable to you. I realize that no amount of explaining why I feel no obligation to lose my mind trying to be all things to all people will do the trick; that is evident. I can talk until I'm blue in the face. But when I think of the overwhelming majority whom I HAVEN'T offended, it's still worth it to come here. I don't get bored much.

I hope that all have gained some joy from hijacking a thread to do your complaining. If I have made your day by offering you that release, I'm happy to have done so. I'm pretty sure that nothing I say will be satisfactory, so I'm content to not be giving the finger to anyone and to have maintained my patience with all of you.

Last thing I'll say is this: are you deliberately choosing to ignore what I said about connotation entirely??? You talk about everyone repeatedly saying this, that and the other to YOU, but what about your constant defense: it's not MY fault the way you take it, blah blah blah...how is that any different? You didn't even respond to what I said, you just spouted the same thing back again. It's not that big of a deal, really. Needy is only one minor example of the way you did this....the connotation for the term needy is somewhat different than any person at all who may not feel like you do and DOES yearn to be with his/her spouse while they're apart. Yet..."oh...no offense." Well, I think you have to be pretty ignorant not to see the difference....no offense.
