Go ahead and vent, shonnie, but your problem is not with me or this thread. It's with the immigration process. I've always been kind to you.

It's been interesting how many interpretations have been given to a few words, some positive, some negative, depending on the mood and position of the reader. Nothing in it questioning who loves their SO, who misses their SO, but it's there for some. Posting here is never dull, but such is the way of public Internet boards.

I read alot of posts about how stressed out people are, how the wait and separation is killing them, and how they can't stand to be apart. I'm not like that, not because I don't love and miss my hubby, but, I'm just not that emotional or needy (no offense intended to those who are).

Any more taking the wait in stride, or am I an oddball (as I've been told frequently)?

It irks me when ppl say their 'life is on hold' I don't feel that way. I think it's a lil ott, but hey..diff strokes for diff folks. But I also think that people have a way of rushing through life...when you're young it's 'oh I can't wait til I'm 16/18/21' then it's 'i can't wait til college is over/til I meet someone/get engaged/get married/have a baby' I think the tendency is to always be waiting for the next step, and often times you forget to relish where you are in the present. D & I use the time apart to our advantage...there's absolutely nothing we can do about the separation, so might as well try to minimize the 'unhappiness' of being apart by keeping as full a life as poss.

Oh, btw,I don't think your above statement in red could be taken any other way then being offended. You really should work on not being so condescending. Why automatically brand people as 'needy'? I think it's very short sighted and quite rude.

I also infer from many of your posts that you like being the oddball/standout/etc...don't worry....we're all unique in our own way...you don't have to try so hard to point that out constantly

well yeah I am about to irk you! my life is on hold ..I am freaking needy - I needy my man dayum it!!

my life is on hold because , I cant have a baby. oh I suppose I could go out there meet a man get pregante. but, my husband is my husband. I want a child with him, a life with him.

no your life is not on hold because you are reunited. you can look at your husband and see his smile daily. you can plan every little thing you want with him. well the plans I make are only wishful thinking on my part. i dont think we will ever be togeather. yeah honey i am pretty needy right about now!

decided to change our case from CR1 to IR1 now we gotta go through security checks

I guess there are some other things they checking for IR1. they said he was approve he will get the visa in 10 days ..when that did not happen I called DOS and they gave use the &(*&%%*(( news. I hate this process..

this process is hellish... we all have our ways of dealing with this mess.

some are strongish.. some are weakish. some are just comfortably numbish. thats how each person copes with this doo doos.

Wow Shonnie, it's sad that you've given me all this static for havin an opinion.

Michelle is right, David is NOT here. And we've seen each other twice in two years this April. And this is really not about whos-in-more-pain but I bring this up to point out that I'm not just talkin the talk. There are other roadblocks than just USCIS or else I'm sure we'd be together by now. But it's no less frustrating for us.

Does it suck? SURE DOES. Is it lonely and horrible and sh!t sometimes? ABSOLUTELY. But my life is not on hold. I can choose to wallow in the pain daily, or try to make my life as full as poss to pass the time while we're apart. And yeah, when it gets to me I love to sit and feel sorry for myself and play sad music and look thru memories of ours...but eh, I breathe, therefore I live.

No doubt your case is frustrating to no end, but your beef is not with me Shon. I'm sorry you're back on AP and it seems crazy, but that's nowt to do with me nor my opinion.
