Separation desparation

I read alot of posts about how stressed out people are, how the wait and separation is killing them, and how they can't stand to be apart. I'm not like that, not because I don't love and miss my hubby, but, I'm just not that emotional or needy (no offense intended to those who are).

Any more taking the wait in stride, or am I an oddball (as I've been told frequently)?

Guess you're the odd ball. I would miss my hubby so much! I miss him when he is at work! We are tired at the heart. Perhaps our love is more than yours, who knows. I don't see it as being needy (but if it is per the psych docs, then I am!!!!!) I see us as being so into each other yet allowing each other space.

There's no contest going on about levels of love or missing your honey, but you do raise an interesting point. Some associate love with pain. The more pain you feel, the more "in love" you are. So, since I feel less pain, you automatically assume I'm less in love. Since you feel more pain, your love must be purer, stronger, more real.

It's a silly correlation, but the stuff of popular romance. I've been thinking of starting a thread, maybe a poll, about people's perceptions about the links between love and pain. Considering the success of this thread in raising ire while boosting my posting numbers, that one should continue the pace. Thanks for your input!

Well at first, I was trippin a little bit when I came home from our wedding. I was missing the companionship more then the "physical" aspect of our relationship. I was back to an empty house, the phone, computer and web cam. I was sick about it. Literally sick I wasn't eating, my sleep was all off and not just because of desynchronization. But I came to my senses and realized that theres nothing I can do about it. My husband will be here when he gets here.

Of course I miss him and love him. More today than I did 1 year ago. Especially his case has been returned and I realized that we would be apart even longer. I just go on with my day, whatever it involves. I do what I do, wake up and talk to him in our usual times.

I appreciate the things I once dreaded... the phone, computer and web cam.......

I'm aware of your stuation, shonnie, but I didn't start this thread for people like you. Some of us aren't like you or others who are emotionally overwrought. We need a space to share too. That's what this is for. Those who this thread isn't for come at their own peril. Those who just wanna make fun of others, take it away!

Take care!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

you think missing your better half is a sign of weakness?

if my husband is sick. it hurts me alot because, I cant comfort him. if I am hurting

belive me he hurts he cant make it all better. when I am happy I cant share that with my husband the way I would like. I cant remember my husbands kiss. this is something you apprently are making fun of. its not funny to me. when you are apart so long and you forget his kiss how will you feel? dayum I cant rember. but, I really want to rember again. so dont say anyone is wrong for getting defensive because, certainly I feel that you are mocking those that feel empty when they are apart and suffering from their true love. when you are in true love

being apart really does hurt.
