Hi there,

I have received a letter from NVC about the I-130 I had filed for my sister, and they have asked to provide the required docs. for further processing and if everything is in order they will forward the case to the relevant US embassy for interview.

Does anyone have any rough idea how long it usually takes from the time of NVC receiving the required docs. to the time the applicant is called for a visa interview at the embassy? If I send the docs. now, is the interview date going to be around July 2016? Thanks.

Have no idea since we don;t know what country of interview. Usually at NVC once you pay fees and submit documents and they review can take 60 days.

Have you already paid AOS fee, submitted DS-261, Paid IV fee, Submitted DS-260.

Depending on your embassy after you have case complete it can be 4 weeks to 4 months wait.

Here's the NVC Process wiki to help guide you what to do at NVC. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Please complete your timeline so we can answer you better. Thanks

Thanks for the reply dwheels76. The embassy is in Islamabad Pakistan. I have yet to send out the AOS fee and apllication and other supporting docs.

Well you have some time than you need to get to case complete first. You still have probably 2 months or more at NVC depending when you send in your documents. But Pakistan usually isn't more than a 4 to 6 week wait after Case Complete.
