On August 14 I got USCIS acceptance confirmation. The office was Chicago lockbox.

Yes, all petitions are sent to the Chicago lockbox from where they are dispersed to service centers. From there, final adjudication for I485s are done at the local field office. I think the only field office in Maryland is in Baltimore. According to the processing times link, the last I485 petition adjudicated at that office was December 2014.

Yes, the local field office for Maryland is Baltimore, but the processing times aren't quite as bad as the USCIS site suggests. We filed for AOS in early February 2015 and had our interview at Baltimore on August 28th, although based on the info from that link I wasn't expecting an interview date earlier than the end of this year. I think the data for Baltimore at that link is just inaccurate, for some reason - I've seen a couple of other Maryland members who filed in January or March and had interview dates a month before or after ours.

Hello, I recently filed my AOS as well. My local office is Baltimore as I live in Columbia. Question: the processing time for I485 is currently December 2014. Is this date based on your priority date or the date applied for adjustment?

Depends completely on your current circumstances. If your spouse is currently in the US in some other legal immigration status, AOS is the way to go. Processing times may be longer, but they can remain in the US with you and, once their EAD/AP is granted, will have permission to work and travel.

My spouse is in the US and we have submitted AOS 485 instead of consular processing. She is currently on visitor visa and I am waiting for USCIS approval if they can allow her to adjust status here instead. I have sent them a cover letter requesting the same. Lets see.
