I feel your pain, my husband and I have been stuck at NVC for eight months, four of those months have been stuck at supervisor review. NVC is the toughest part to be stuck at because you can't make an appointment and actually go see someone, like you can at USCIS or the embassy, and that is really really frustrating. :(

If they gave you a checklist, this will be sent to the email you choice when you did your choice of agent (DS-261). Did you confirm with NVC that they have your correct email address? Or do you mean that you did eventually receive the email and your response to that checklist was received by NVC on October 1st? NVC's timeframe for reviewing documents is 30 days, so if they received your new documents on October 1st, I'm afraid you'll need to wait till October 30th before you're past the due date.

When it comes to calling them, try straight away when they open at 7 am or late at night, it's usually easier then. And if you don't get through, just keep calling calling calling.
