Hi everyone, I have questions on the NBI. I saw some people says that on the NBI there should be an AKA/Other Names? What should I put on the AKA my nickname? and on the purpose does the travel abroad fine? thanks

have you used any other name before aside from your name in your BC? If not, just leave AKA portion blank. NBI application should be done online now. check the site below. The purpose should be for "Travel Abroad". Just got my NBI last Friday Oct 16.

Leave it blank if you did not use any other name and as for purpose mine says " for Visa Purposes" and I had no problem with that on my interview .Hope this helps . Goodluck ??

NBI CLEARANCE (USEM requires Green Form). Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance (purpose: for travel abroad) from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name and any aliases or nicknames used, including different spellings you have used of those names. An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required for any notation of "No criminal record" or "No pending case". The NBI clearance is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued but the USEM Consulate requires it to be no older than 6 months at the time of the interview. Return and get a new clearance if it is older than 6 months. The NBI website is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

AKA is for other names used, have you ever changed your name? If no, then leave the AKA blank OR put N/A (ask the staff at NBI)

Travel abroad is fine, as long as you have the green colored version you are fine.
