Today is my parents visa interview and it's APPROVED!

Questions are:

Who is your petitioner?

How many kids does my parents have?

How many kids does the petitioner have?

Petitoners work?

Petitioners husbands work?

When did the petitioner go to the US?

How did the petitioner go to the US?

How and when did the petitoner and the husband meet?

Address of the petitioner?

When was the last time they saw or came to the Philippines?

After the long and unending questions finally they congratulated them. All glory to God!

COngratulations!!! Happy for you! :)

My mom passed her interview :dancing:

Questions:

Who filed your petition?

Who is ____ ? (daughter in law)

A strange question about her mom's surname.

Have you ever visited US?

Where does your son live?

Where does he work?

What is his job title?

Any documents to show where your son works? (luckily we printed 4 paystubs the night before just in case. WHEW!!)

How many kids does he have?

How old are they?

This might seem a long interview but it was divided between a pre-interview and a real consular interview. The consular interview was shorter. And for some of the applicants, they were being asked questions for 15-20 minutes. But from what I overheard, it was because the applicants were not prepared. Like this one lady did not know her dad's profession!! Anyways, I saw majority of the cases approved, or required more information at a later date. A few were postponed because the applicants did not meet correct passport photo procedures.

The experience at the Mumbai US consulate was horrible. Hundreds of people waiting, no organization, lots of waiting, only 4 active counters to process all the immigrant applicants.

Quick question: I'm filling out the DS-260 I petitioned for my mum and my question is when I get to the family section that asks about children do I list all her children including myself even tho no one is immigrating with her?

Yes. You include everyone in there, you and your sister/brother. And I remember that they also ask their address as well, so you should prepare it first to easy filling out.
