Hi,

I filed for my mother's GC and was approved 3 months ago. In all the documentation before and during interview, we gave my address in California as place of residence. Unfortunately, she underwent bypass surgery right after the interview and recovered well. We are now planning to let her stay with my sister (GC Holder) in upstate New York as she is a stay-at-home home maker.

With that in mind, me and my mother are planning to fly to New Jersey and let her settle at my sister's house for at least 9 months.

1. Will this cause any issues with immigration as our original application mentioned my CA addess ?

2. Can we fill my sister's NY address as her address in the custom's form and during port-of-entry as she is planning to stay for atleast 9 months ?

3. What can we expect at the port of entry with immigration officers ?

4. Will her limited English, will it cause any issues for the interview ?
