How long after recieving 10 year can you apply for citizenship?

I am just wondering what is the standard time required before one can apply for citizenship after recieveing the 10 year GC? And if your on probabtion do you have to wait until that probation is lifted?

It's 3 years after the 'resident since' date on your GC, if you're still married to the USC.

You'll have to wait until the probation/parole is completed.

Just to expand on the post above. It is 3 years after becoming a LPR AND 3 years of marriage to a USC AND that person must be a US citizen for the past 3 years AND you must have continuous residence within the US for the past 3 years AND you must have been in the USCIS district for the past 3 month before filing for USC. Also, be careful of long trips outside the US. Any trip greater than 6 months disrupts the continuous residency. If you are interested, you need to go to the USCIS website and look up information on filing for naturalization. http://www.uscis.gov/us-citizenship/citizenship-through-naturalization/naturalization-spouses-us-citizens
