I filed a 129F to that I could bring my Filipino fiancée to the united states. We been in a relationship for over 7 years and we met on website called tangowire. I never thought of that as an International marriage broker but today I received a notice in the mail from USCIS that stated the following:

"You indicated that you me the beneficiary through the services of an international marriage broker (IMB). you stated that you met the beneficiary through the online dating web site tangowire. This website is considered to be an international marriage broker as it is a business that charges fees for providing dating, matrimonial, matchmaking services, or social referrals between united states citizens and foreign nationals. Therefore, you are required submit a copy of the signed written consent form that the international marriage broker obtained from the beneficiary, Joana N. Alvares Machado, authorizing the release of her personal contact information to you."

Ive been rereading that paragraph for the past several hours and Im just not understanding exactly what it is asking me to do or how to go about it. Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.

Based on what I understand, your fiancé should have a form that gave this website permission to display her information. It would be electronic or hard copy. If electronic, print it out and send it to USCIS.

It was just a regular dating website we both had profiles there neither of us recall there being any forms that gave the website permission to display our information. And its been over six years since either of us had accounts on that website I really don't know how to proceed

Go to the website and check their Terms of Use. There should be a written statement about the site there, you can print that. You can also email the website admin and ask for a statement saying they are not an IMB. Send that with a cover letter to reply on your RFE explaining the site is not an IMB with the attached docs.

We got the exact same RFE for okcupid. Cristina16 is correct. We emailed okcupid asking them to verify that they're not an imb. They responded within a couple days. We printed the email, okcupids terms and conditions, I wrote my own signed statement that we didn't use an imb to meet and added a cover letter. We were approved within less than a couple weeks of sending it back. Don't forget to send back the original RFE letter on top of your documents, after you make copies for your records.
