Can a notary remotely notarize something ? Thats seems a bit counter intuitive.

I think the OP is asking whether her mom, who is in the Philippines, can write an affidavit describing her knowledge of the OP's relationship and marriage and get it notarized in the Philippines, then mail the hard copy to the OP in the US.

The answer is yes, but as other posters have pointed out, affidavits are not a strong source of evidence and the OP should still try to collect other proof such as joint bank account statements, joint utility bills, a lease in both her and her husband's name etc.

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

Ah if thats true thanks, sure, think I must have got some of the words jumbled then. Yea affidavits are nice but arguably less meaningful as other types people suggest.

Bank accounts, credit cards, bills, utilities, wills, property, lease etc.

Social media helps but is secondary

This.

Photos, social media, affidavits...none of those types of things are evidence of anything consequential. While they can help to reinforce your position as secondary evidence, what USCIS really wants to see are serious quantifiable commitments you've taken on together as a married couple, namely the sharing of finances and property - joint bank account history, joint credit cards, co-owned property, wills, insurance policies, joint tax returns, etc.

Ok but I have a question than I'm married but my husband has never set foot in the USA so how can I even remotely put him on anything? He doesn't have a ss number. I own my home so no mortgage to share, no joint debts because we haven't had the need to create any, why would i put him on any bills here that he cannot use or has any obligation to. I cant add him to any of my accounts without his signature and a social security number and ID. The only thing I could come up with was a cell phone bill and beneficiary on my life insurance policy at work.... I have no need to have an account in Egypt and have the IRS and tax issues to deal with. I hope they take that into consideration that not everyone can leave their home countries to come visit. And that some countries are so poor, that the USD is way more valuable than their currency. I am sorry I have been stuck in AP and starting to go a little batty having no idea if I submitted good enough bonafide relationship evidence..

Hi there... my husband and I were already married and we are on the process of adjusting my status but we just knew each other one month only or more than a month before we got married... is it gonna be a problem on processing my papers? I believe you dont need years of relationship before getting married... thats my believe... but it is gonna be a problem in proving that our marriage is bonafide?

Thanks
