Chinese Research Project Raising 16 Pandas

CHENGDU CITY, China -- Sixteen panda cubs are being raised together as part of a research project in China's Sichuan province. The cubs at the panda kindergarten range in age from 5 to 7 months old. The project means the young pandas not only play together, but live together, as well. Too young for bamboo, the pandas can only drink special milk prepared by the research center. According to the center's director, the cubs are in very good health and keep staff members busy. The pandas will eventually be divided into two different groups. Some will be used for breeding and the rest will be released into the wild.

A few of those photos aren't from China; they're pictures of Tai Shan, the panda cub at the National Zoo in Washington (pics 6-9, and possibly #10 too).

I thought some of those looked familiar, well so just look at the ones from China then...

Too cute. I want one! I saw them on t.v. the other day. They have a playground set up for them with a slide. It was so cute to see them sliding down it. :D

I know...heehee...I saw that too! I WANT ONE!!!
