credit card and bank statements only has my name!

Hey guys - my wife is a joint member on our checking and savings account as well as an authorized user on our credit cards. However, the statements only show my name; how can I show that we have joint financially mingling.

if you are joint owners of an account then both names ought to appear. being an authorized user isn't a joint account. photocopies of the cards showing each name and the same account number would be helpful. Both names on car insurance, lease/mortgage, utility bills, etc. Joint tax returns, memberships. Wills and/or life insurance naming each other as beneficiaries.

When I added my wife as a authorized user on my credit card accounts, they sent a credit card with her name with same account number as mine. I made copies of both our cards and sent that with the statements.

My wife and I have a joint account. We each have a debit/credit card attached to that account. Each card has our individual names on them but the card numbers are different. Each statement shows the transactions for each card coming out of the same account. I dont think the card number matters, its all coming out of the same account

We have same prob with our credit card, we will just scan the cards and include statement.

The card number will be different but the account number should be the same.

Either way, as long as there is proof that the cards are being used to draw from the same account you'll be fine.

Your bank should be able to provide you something that reflects that. My wife was POD on my accounts before i submitted her I-130. The bank provided a printout showing she was POD (pay on death). Since then she is now joint account holder and bank statements include her name on them. but I did go to the bank to get a printout of both our names on the account before they started being addressed that way.

After adding my husband to my bank account, statements continued to only show my name. I went back in to the local branch and inquired why my husband's name wasn't showing, and upon inspection, the rep noticed that the person who added my husband to the account forgot to check a tiny box that would print my husband's name on the statements. Who knew!? Easy fix, and maybe something small like that needs to be done Good luck!

It's funny really, isn't it? I had a joint account with my boyfriend of 6 years back in the UK, but didn't bother with my ex because it was such a hassle to close it the last time. Plus, we never even used the joint account very often at all. Co-mingling of finances shouldn't mean that you have to have a joint account, I know that my husband has access to my UK bank account should he ever need it. But, thems the rules I guess!
