Can Canadian Permanent resident stay with spouse in US till the case is processed?

Hi everyone just joined this community.

I recently got married to Canadian Permanent resident. I have filed for the immigration process few days ago.

My main question is Can my wife come to US and live with me while the case is in process. Few things to keep in mind:

We married 2 weeks ago in Canada as i visited there.

I am US permanent resident with green card and she is Canadian permanent resident with PR card.

I have filled the immigration papers few days ago and know it will take some time.

Now is there a possible way where she can visit me in US from Canada for some time or can she come to US and start living with me?

Probably unlikely she would be Gran d a visit (b2) visa. If she were to obtain one then typically she could have visits up to 6 months long. The immigration visa for her to come live with you in the us will take about 2 years for processing.

Sorry but it's kinda confusing. 2 years for a visit visa? I was checking online to apply for her visit visa, what category does a visit visa comes under if she is visiting me (her spouse)?

2 years to obtain the spouse visa.

Also she is living with her parents in canada and doesn't have any solid ties. What's the possibility of getting visit visa? Is it even worth applying for?

Landed immigrants (permanent residents) of Canada are given 10 year multiple entry visit visas if approved. With that she can visit you for up to 6 months at a time, but she must spend more time in Canada than the U.S. else she risks being denied entry. She needs to show some ties in Canada like employment for it to be granted though. Even if she lives with her parents she can still show strong ties provided she has a job, schooling etc. U.S. visit visas are not very difficult to get for landed immigrants in Canada provided they can show ties. My sister is a landed immigrant in Canada and was successful in getting a visit visa almost effortlessly last year to come attend my wedding together with her husband and 2 minor children as a family. However, like I said they're both employed. She can go ahead and give it a shot. By the way she'll only be able to immigrate with an immigrant visa in about 2 years unless you happen to become a U.S. citizen before then to upgrade your petition if still pending.

Thanks everyone for the detailed replies.

She just moved to Canada with her family few months ago. Lease is on her dads name and she is not going to school either. Doesnt have any strong ties.

Is it better if she applies for tourist visa with her family?
