Each AOS is a separate filing and requires a separate fee... There are great guides on here that are very good reading

Thanks, we are house shopping atm. We want to make the biggest downpayment we can and still have money for filing fees.

ok have to tell me if i have this wrong or not ....... you are asking about AOS but you don't yet have Visa's and your still in Canada ? .. AOS fee's are currently $325 + $70 for biometrics for an adult .. and $225 for anyone under 14 .. But keep in mind if you are asking and wanting to save for AOS fee's they are going to up the fees in the next few months ( it escapes me exactly when ) but here is what they are progecting I-485 current free $325 ~ Proposed Fee $905 ... you can read about it here : http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0000ecd190aRCRD and specifically Proposed Rule as Published in the Federal Register on that page .. Yes, the fee increase is what I'm concerned with. I will be filing AOS for my fiance and her four children, eventually and likely after fee increase. Much easier to save now than then.
