Heya folks,

Hope your petitions and applications are all going well. I've got a question that I hope will have an easy and pleasing answer. :)

My fiancee and I had planned to submit our paperwork much earlier this year, but due to instability at my past job we had to wait for quite some time, almost 10 months, to submit. Is there a statue of limitations on validity of dated signatures for these forms? Her portions of the petitions were signed in January and March of this year; biographical info form and statement of intent to marry, respectively. I've recently filled out, signed, and dated all of my portion as of today, 10/17/15. Will there be problems related to her documents being signed earlier this year? If I include a statement describing the reason for the gap, will [likely] be enough for them to pass muster?

Thanks,

Phil

I would rather get recent signed documents. If you have wait for few weeks to get them, it is better to wait then get a RFE.

I had a similar question as well - when it says 'taken within 30 days of filing' for passport photos does this mean all your documents and passport photos need to be taken / signed / dated within 30 days of them receiving and filing your petition? If you send your petition and some of your forms were signed a little over 30 days ago would that be an issue? I have my fiancee's forms but they may be a week or two over 30 days by the time USCIS receives and files them, likewise with his passport photo. Just wondering how meticulous they actually are with the dates, so if anyone else has input or advice on this it would be much appreciated!! Thanks for asking this + very best wishes to you guys :)
