Most people that come on here looking for advice are the ones that were denied or in AP. That's why that's all you are seeing. Keep your chin up, we went through Ghana and had the blond CO with initials KM. I had no idea at the time who she was or I would have been really scared. We had what I think we're lots of red flags, and were approved for K1. Luckily I found visajourney.com early on in our process and followed what people said to do.

Take a month or so to familiarize yourself with what front loading and AP is and what a married couple sends in for bona fide evidence.

Research and study before jumping into one of the most difficult embassies.

Chats and pics aren't enough, think what you can co mingle, such as land, property, have him listed as beneficiary on your job papers

and a small life insurance policy etc. to show that even though you live apart you do have a somewhat co mingled life.

They want lots of visits so plan on getting at least 2 more visits in and be there on the premises when it's time for his interview.

If you don't do this right from the start then you can count on your petition being returned and the review will last an additional year.

Buckle up for one heck of a roller coaster ride and before you start sending the petition research, read and study as if this was your

master thesis. It is not just filling out a few forms and bang he is here, it's a tough journey, uphill all the way.

I will do all the things you have mentioned. Many things aren't easy to list him on as they require a social security number. So those things are almost impossible as is buying any sort of land I don't make that kind of money. It will probably be another year before I can visit as I can't get time off work for some time let alone afford it. I will research all I can before sending off the 1-130 but I must say I am worried as we are simple individuals making modest income.

You'll send all the evidence you can get with your package, then as the months pass while you're waiting for your case to eventually reach the NVC, you'll collect up to date evidence each month.

For example....When we first submitted our package September 3, 2014, we sent all the evidence we had up to that time......Every month after that. we've kept copies of weekly contact. Also during this long wait, we've met each other over seas to spend time together. Of course that trip was well documented. When it was time to send NVC our 2nd package, we included all of the evidence we collected from September 4, 2014 up to the date we sent the package to NVC in April 2015. Since April 2015, we've been collecting evidence of our relationship that has occurred from that date onward. That last compilation of evidence will be taken to the interview.

Only meeting ones and getting married at that time will raise flags! Put it all you got, every little thing you can dig up that proves you guys got the real deal!

Its good that you are strong in your faith because it will most likely be a bumpy ride! I have my fingers crossed for a happy outcome!

Absolutely Front Load... Not working with Ghana but Nigeria. We submitted what seemed like sooooo much information but it really helped us. The more proof of relationship the better. Nothing is really too much. It may seem tedious and even a bit ridiculous but believe me, it is not. Show all you can that your marriage is real.

Do either of you have kids? It's very important for men in Ghana to have kids, if he doesn't have any, and you are out of childbearing age that is a big red flag.

He does not want any and has none. It has been discussed as I always worried I was robbing him of such things but he reminds me Jah brought us together if he were meant to have kids then he would have but its not meant to be and its not an issue at all.

I understand, its cool for you guys. I'm simply pointing out anything out of the cultural norm will be questioned by the CO. They are well versed on what is the norm for the country they are stationed in. I'm not saying you can't overcome it, but be prepared to be questioned on it.
