EAD Denied - No Appeal

My son-in-law yesterday received notice that his EAD was denied. They say he did not send in his 485 and did not check c-9 status on his request. No appeal - No phone numbers on his letter from Homeland Security.

He did apply for the AOS on the 485 and he did check the c-9 box on our copy. He overlooked sending in his $180 fee with the form 765 and corrected that error immediately when he received notification of the problem. He recently took the Biometrics for both the EAD and the AOS in York PA and they had records of both filings (though he got seperate letters for the two biometrics he was allowed to combine them when he got to the biometrics place).

Nothing makes sense - there are no appeals - no phone numbers to call - no recourse and of course plenty of work and family problems that can't be addressed.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I reccommend he make an Infopass appointment immediately. Thats his best way to sort this mess out. Good luck

Make an info pass appointment and if you do not get any results contact his congressman and or senator and ask them to help him get this misunderstanding taken care of. Good luck.

You can go and set up an appointment with the immigration officials (Info Pass) on the USIS website to solve problems or get clarifications. My son-in-law and daughter got an appointment for 3/30 in Philly. Hopefully, they will be able to correct this EAD Snafu.
