Dear friends, I am new and I REALLY need guidance.

Hi guys,

My friend just recommended this site to me. I am hopeful to get some guidance from folks who know about immigration processes or have had same/similar experiences as mine.

I am married to a U.S citizen for almost 3 years now. He is a student, therefore doesn't earn enough to be my sponsor , as required by the poverty guidelines. His family are skeptical about becoming a joint sponsor as it would hold them accountable for next 10 years.

I am an international student and currently I'm in my OPT period. I have a job & I earn almost ~ $2000/month. My OPT expires on July next year. My F1 visa expired on June this year, but I was told it would be okay if I maintained my OPT status until next year. I could ask my boss about applying for H1-B but how does the H1-B cap work every year? Any idea?

I am also from Nepal which means that I can apply for a TPS by Dec 21 this year. I am confused if this will help me at all since I have a EAD until July 2016.

This is my situation, please help me pick a path. I'm so lost here on how to get started.
