I applied for the AOS on May. At that time we were just my wife and me, so she stated just us on the affidavit of support.

Now her son is gonna live with us. Should we notify that to the USCIS? If so, what's the procedure?

Thanks!

p.s.: I didn't get the green card yet.

p.p.s.: More in general, is it needed to update the USCIS every time there are some changes in the family (new babies, etc)? If so, until you become a U.S. citizen eventually, or what?

If the son is a minor then he should have been listed regardless of where he lived / lives.

If he is an adult and was not claimed as a dependent on her most recent tax return then his living there will not change the family count.

Thanks for your answer!

He is an adult and he is not claimed as a dependent on her tax return.

So, looking at what you say, it's needed to report changes to the USCIS just when there are dependents on the sponsor, right?

Once the I-864 is accepted and you have your green card, there is no need to report household changes to the USCIS, such as job changes or additional household members. The USC will need to report any change in address while the I-864 is still actively being enforced though. > http://www.uscis.gov/i-865
