Delivered, February 19, 2007, 8:42 pm, CHICAGO, IL 60680

Question, why would it be delivered 8:42pm ? Is this normal?

Vermont Service Center...

- Aug 14th - I-129F Arrived

- Aug 15 - NOA1

- Aug 17th - Check cashed

- Aug 18th - touched

- Aug 24th - touched

- Aug 29th - touched!

- Sept 1st - touched??

- Sept 1st - approved little later after being touched!!

- Sept 2nd - touched - sent stuff to NVC?

- Sept 6th - NVC Received my case

- Sept 12th - petition forwarded to embassy

- Sept 14th - embassy receives it

- Dec.. - passes interview! .. Arrived to the US!

- Jan 15th - got married in vegas!!

- Jan 26th - went to SS office to apply and change last name

- Feb 8th - Received SS card with new last name!

- Feb 19th - Chicago received my application - delivered

- End of May Interview

- Less than 2 weeks later. Green card in the mail!

- Aug 29th - touched!

- Sept 1st - touched??

- Sept 1st - approved little later after being touched!!

- Sept 2nd - touched - sent stuff to NVC?

- Sept 6th - NVC Received my case

- Sept 12th - petition forwarded to embassy

- Sept 14th - embassy receives it

- Dec.. - passes interview! .. Arrived to the US!

- Jan 15th - got married in vegas!!

It is when the USPS tossed it into the mail bin/box... not when it was actually picked up by an employee

I was going to use usps priority mail with delivery confirmation, but the Postal Employee said to use Certified Mail for Green cards. A signature is required and you can track the package as well.

The "signature" consists of a rubber stamp which says recieved-national benefits center- and the date.

When I sent mine it arrived at 5 AM on a SUNDAY morning. I thought mail didnt run on Sundays? :lol:

3/05/07 - Checks cashed

3/05/07 - Received NOAs for I-765, I-485, & I-130!

3/09/07 - All touched

3/10/07 - Received biometrics appt letter

3/15/07 - I-485 touched

3/15/07 - Received email informing me that an RFE has been mailed to me about the I-485

3/19/07 - Received RFE for I-485 in the mail.

I used FedEx and tracked it all the way until they said DELIVERED. I always use them and can track the package. I just send it the normal 2 or 3 day inexpensive way and it usually gets there the next day.

All that it means is it was delivered. Within the next two weeks you should get the official acknowledgement and case number. Then you can sign up for email notification and track touches on your case.
