Hello everyone!

As most others who post here, I am new to the forum. I've been researching everything I can for a few days now and am looking forward to finding yet more good advice. As expected I have a ton of questions.

First, grab a snack and a beverage and I'll tell you my story.

I am an USC (born and raised). I am also a gamer. I had actually quit online gaming 9 years ago but a very persistent friend convinced me to play just one more time with his group. It took him months to convince me, but he did. For that I will forever be thankful as it was there in the dark void of cyberspace that my path crossed my husbands. Within months we knew fate had put us togehter and had to meet. He flew me to South Africa. Just over a month later we married. 8 years and 2 beautiful children later we are still very happily married, with one exception.

in 2014 RSA changed the requirements for acc spouse renewals that we were not aware of. When we went to home affairs there to renew we found out. Unfortunately it was much too late to accomodate the new requirements. We looked at this as another play by the hand of fate. A chance to finally get us all to the States (which was always the plan but two pregnancies back to back put a big delay on things.) I came back, with our two children in May 2015. By the end of June I had everything ready and mailed off my I-130 petition for my Husband's immigration. my NOA-1 recepit date is July 6th, 2015. I just received a notice via SMS yesterday that my petition has been transfered to a different center and am (im)patiently waiting for the physical mail to explain when and where.

That's the quicky version.

I have to say that perusing other posts on this site has answered several questions but has also created many more. Thank you in advance, for answers already given and those yet to be received!
